Xbox Poised to Steal the Spotlight at Gamescom with Starfield Expansion Reveal

With PlayStation and Nintendo stepping aside, Xbox has the entire Gamescom stage to itself this year. This presents a prime opportunity for Xbox to shine, and it is reportedly planning to capitalize on it by unveiling a new trailer for the first Starfield expansion. The trailer is expected to announce a release date for the Shattered Space expansion, aiming for a launch sometime in September.
The information comes from leaker Odahfield on X/Twitter, who also suggests that Starfield’s second expansion, Starborn, will likely make its debut around 2025. Details about Starborn remain scarce, but given its distant release, substantial information or footage isn’t anticipated until at least next year.
Although this information should be taken with a grain of salt, it aligns with the idea that a major expansion would be released about a year after the base game. Todd Howard has previously expressed a desire for expansions to be released annually. However, considering the sometimes slow pace of Bethesda's development process, it's also possible that Shattered Space might launch later than expected. All of this should be clearer by Gamescom, where a closer look at the expansion is anticipated.
