Recently, Sony has introduced a new system update for the PS5, enhancing the way Activities are showcased.
The latest version, 24.07-10.20.00, is now available for users and is a modest update that focuses on improving the user experience and system software reliability. This update also seeks to enhance message display and usability across certain screens.
The key highlight of this update is the updated presentation of Activities. As noted in the release details, Activities will now appear as either 'In Progress', 'Not Started', or 'Completed', based on whether the player has engaged with the activity in the past.
In the patch notes for PS5 Version 24.07-10.20.00, it was mentioned that last month saw the rollout of the PS5's most significant software update thus far, which introduced a variety of new features. Among these was the introduction of a Welcome Hub, along with a revamped control panel on the main page offering a selection of customizable settings.
The update also included trophy tracking and various widgets, in addition to a battery life indicator for controllers like the DualSense, DualSense Edge, and PSVR 2 Sense, along with numerous other enhancements.
These latest PS5 updates come just ahead of the worldwide launch of the PS5 Pro on November 7, a revamped edition of the 2020 console boasting cutting-edge technology, featuring Sony's latest AI upscaling software known as PlayStation Spectral Super Revolution (PSSR).
